Our light & airy, fully newly renovated contemporary apartment with its own covered outdoor terrace with stunning views is annexed to our rural family home and retreat centre affiliated to the Quiet Garden Trust*. It nestles in nearly four acres of fertile, rolling hillside with nature trails and so many places to sit and enjoy beautiful scenery.... find your own favourite spot among so many. With this much beautiful space, outdoors and in, there can be fewer better places to be staying and enjoying quality of life in the event of any further travel restrictions. Allocated secure parking is adjacent to the apartment. The nearly 4 acres of the property include 2 acres of hillside nature trails as well as a developing permaculture food forest with many citrus, olive, almond, fig, avocado, mango, holm oak, pine and jacaranda trees. An exceptional rural location where you are invited to soak in the beauty of the nature-rich environment.
We are a host family, husband Andrew, wife Hazel and young daughter Grace along with various rescue animals including friendly dog Johnny, two cats, Clyde and Socks, two dwarf rabbits, Smokey & Liquorice, four young sheep, Faith, Hope, Joy & Blossom and eight egg-laying hens. We live a mainstream-media-free lifestyle, seeking to make the most of the natural peace and beauty of our surroundings. We are top five-star rated hosts with our existing holiday rental in Grassington, Yorkshire Dales, and are now offering quality space and accommodation annexed to our own home here in Andalucia, southern Spain. The property is in a privileged area of rolling hillside between the traditional Spanish towns of Alhaurin el Grande and Coin, both towns being just a 10 minute (5km) drive away. The Andalucian Rescue Centre for Horses is a short walk away and is open to visitors on Sunday mornings. "Alhaurin", a name given by the Moors, means "God´s garden", the area being fertile with a pleasant winter climate. There is abundant fresh fruit & vegetables grown and sold locally. There is a mix of traditional Spanish people & culture and a large, established, international community. We are 30 minutes from the Costa del Sol, Marbella & Fuengirola. We are a 45 minute drive (46km) from the world-renown El Caminito del Rey with its spectacular rope walkways. We are just 30 minutes from Malaga airport, and accessible by good tarmac roads with just the final 100 metres being a steep concrete lane uphill.
