.My room was brilliant . It was big, had a table and 2 dining chairs a fridge microwave and coffee making facilities. The wi fi was great. The shared bathroom was convenient clean and well provisioned. The lady who runs it, Pia was brilliant communication was great she makes herself at your service, perfect. I'm sure its Pia's personal touch that makes this place so great.

Pia is an exceptional host. A stay at Rantapappila is a real treat. I liked the many bath products, the free sauna, the terrace, the garden view, the chats with the other Finnish guests, and especially the possibilities to enjoy the environment of Puumala. There is so much to do and to experience: Norpapolkku, Nestorinranta, Niinisaari, Saimaa Canoeing, Sahanlahti,…we were glad we had booked for six nights.

We didn't meet any staff, check-in was done by text message. The self-service breakfast room worked well but requires trust of fellow travellers during covid-19 (and at other times, too, of course).

Upea majapaikka, siisti ja tilava huone, avara pihapiiri. Loistava aamiaissysteemi: runsaat ainekset olivat isossa yhteisessä keittiössä, siellä jokainen asukas sai valmistaa juuri tarpeellisen määrän itselleen. Ei hävikkiä, kympin juttu!
