Neighbourhood information

Helsinginkatu, the street that the apartment is located on, is perhaps the most lively street in Helsinki. It's also the longest street in Helsinki. You will find plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and other interesting venues on the same street. There's a cinema, candy shop, vintage clothing shop, a music store, etc. on the same street. There's a 24/7 general store, as well as metro, tram, and bus stops just as you come out of the front door. This neighbourhood has the best value in all of Helsinki, as a pint of beer can be grabbed for as low as 3,90 euros (bar Kalliohovi) and a kebab for 6 euros (Sörkän Pippuri). Because of this the area is popular among students, young adults and people who just love being out socialising. Kallio and Alppiharju are also regarded as the most vegan friendly neighbourhoods in Helsinki, as there are a good number of restaurants that serve only vegan.
