We loved Le Domaine -l'armonie et la convivialite, la beaute paisible and the french "je ne sais quoi", l'armonie sans etre carree... Great attention aux details. Raphael's dinner and Patrik's philosophy invited us to reconsider social values and peoples histories whilst tasting "ravissants" eclectic "gouts". Challenge of 3 senses: gout, emotions and knowledge. Que voulez-vous de plus in a beautiful French "demeure a caractere"... ? Merci beaucoup Patrik&Raphael pour tout...encore plus pour les etoiles et la bougie 😉

Gorgeous house on an absolutely beautiful property. Tucked away in the forest, with a stream running through the property. The hosts are incredibly kind, accommodating, and fun! The dinner on-site was great. Highly recommend!

We stayed a week at La Brugere. The house was genuinely idyllic, with a dreamy and peaceful atmosphere. Surrounded by its beautiful gardens and dramatic woodland, it was immediately calming and arresting- with the only sounds birds, the water turning through the mill and the river lapping by. The large pool was amazing, breakfast and dinners (by arrangement) superb and Patrick and Raphael charming and welcoming hosts with so much good advice and help organising trips/meals. Room 21 was beautiful, large with lovely views and the hosts did a daily turn down service.

People and place equally excellent. Lovely site, great hosts good food, nice pool. Patrick and Raphael made us feel welcome, were there if we needed anything, and respected our privacy at other times. Their house is comfortable, interesting and superbly situated.

The location is exceptional and so peaceful and beautiful. It feels like you are sharing a friends house, whilst still experiencing your own privacy. Breakfast was wonderful, with fresh bread and pastries, served with fantastic homemade preserves and honey from the hosts hives. We had two evening meals at the property and they exceeded in quality, freshness and taste, all of the local restaurant's we used on other nights. Excellent does not do justice to the holiday we experienced.

This place is exceptional. Patrick and Raphael are wonderful hosts, they are always on hand to assist with whatever you need without being intrusive. Being out in the countryside there is plenty of space and it is very quiet and peaceful. The breakfasts each day were really good also and come with little surprises on some days. Both hosts go out of their way to make sure you have all the information you need to explore the local area. We were to attend a wedding in a nearby town and when Patrick was explaining to me the best way to get there he could see I was having difficulty in remembering all the directions to take, so he took me in his car to show me the way. I would call that “exceeding a guest’s expectations”. I think the price charged is very good value for money. If the opportunity arises we would definitely stay here again and I would strongly recommend it to anyone staying in this area.

This was our second visit to La Brugere. For us it is the perfect location to visit family nearby - but for anyone with their own transport this is the most magical, beautiful and relaxing place to stay! The rooms and the gardens are stunning and you could not wish for more pleasant hosts!
