We are located in the small village of Montmaur in Aude just over the border with the Haute-Garonne. Our site provide a great location for a rural escape from hectic lives. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside where you can go for walks and experience the amazing views. We surrounded by villages with markets, restaurants and interesting places to visit. we are in the hear of the Lauragais which has a rich food culture with many local artisan producers. We can help you experience this through arranging visits with cheese makers, brewers and even our local olive oil producer.We are also lucky to have many other essential amenities nearby with supermarkets, boulangeries and pharmacies all close by. The Lauragaise has a long history an if you want cultural experiences then there is plenty to do, with many Cathar castles and of course Carcassonne. There is the Canal Du Midi and the facinating history of this world heritage site. Our favouite place is Lac Saint Ferriol which is the man made 'basin that provides the water to control the flow in the Canal which is a geat place to spend the day.
