We are Marion and Ron Happel and from 2015 we are the proud owners of Les Volets Bleus. After a thorough renovation and refurbishment, we have decided to rent out the gite. We are a couple with two adult children. We are already grandma and grandpa. Out of season we live in Oegstgeest in the Netherlands, but when the spring comes we can't wait to go to Monflanquin. We are ready to give you an unforgettable stay.

Monflanquin is situated on a hill with a beautiful view. Centrally in Monflanquin is the Place des Arcades with a market every Thursday morning. In July and August there is the so-called evening market on Thursday evenings; good food and very cozy. Monflanquin has a Casino supermarket, a large number of restaurants in every price range, nice streets and pleasant shops. In the surroundings of Monflanquin are many nice towns and villages, such as Bergerac, Monpazier, Pujols, Issigeac, Villeneuve-sur-Lot. A visit to the castle of Bonaguil and the Château de Duras is definitely worth it. The Basilique Notra Dame de Peyragude at Penne-d’Agenais is also impressive. The Cave of Lastournelle, near the town of Sainte-Colombe-de-Villeneuve, is a great day out for the whole family! The Lot-et-Garonne borders the Dordogne with its many caves and castles. Such as the cave of Lascaux, with its beautiful murals, the Gouffre de Proumeyssac, the Grotte du Grand Roc or the caves of Maxange, the castle of Castelnaud, the castle of Beynac and the castle of Biron.
