Sitting at the heart of the village of Geay, L'Ancienne École is a 150 year old maison de maitre which in the 1950s and 60s was used as the village school. Ideally situated between the historic towns of Thouars and Bressuire in the Deux sevres region, having its own micro climate which is credited to be the second sunniest region in France. With in easy reach of theme parks Puy du fou and futuroscope.
We are an English couple who made the move to France in 2016 to start a new more relaxed way of life. After 18 months of renovation we are delighted to welcome guests to stay with us at L' ancienne école chambre d'hôte ( B&B). We offer a friendly easy going home from home experience and for an extra charge you can book table d'hôte, a home cooked meal without having to travel further. We can also share our experiences on making the move to France, come and pick our brains!
With in easy reach of some of the best theme parks and attractions including the the fantastic PUY du FOU just 45 minutes away, Futuroscope and Bio-parc zoo. The fabulous countryside and nature reserves, great for those who enjoy the great outdoors or just need a stop over for a business trip.
