Private holiday home with swimming pool and tennis court above the vineyards on the wooded hillside of the Alberes, 10 km from the Mediterranean Sea. Wonderful view in a quiet location over the wide lowlands of Perpignan to the partly snow-capped mountains. Swimming pool and tennis court are available for common use within the Domaine des Alberes. Maison Eli is structured into two apartments, which are connected by an external staircase. They both can be considered self-sufficient. The upper apartment "Belle Vue" consists of 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom and balkony the lower "Petit Charme" consists of bedroom, living room with sofa bed and kitchenette. There are two terrasses, one in the east and one in the west. Maison Eli is predestined for 2-3 couples or a family with children who strive for their own independence. We ourselves have vacationed here for many years with our adult children and their partners. That was absolutely perfect!

We have been enjoying our holidays here as a family for almost 40 years. Ingrid your landlord even emigrated here 10 years ago and has been living at the foot of the mountain ever since. So you always have a direct contact person on site who can also provide you with lots of tips off the beaten track.

The house is located in the Domaine des Alberes, a district that is still well above the medieval town center and the castle of Laroque on the slopes of the Alberes and overlooks the wide plain of Perpignan and the mountains behind it. It's a quiet, tranquil place, but close to lively coastal towns and beaches if you want to spend the day at the beach. Some walking and hiking trails start further up and lead through the Alberes up to Noillos, the highest mountain in the Alberes. The surrounding towns all have medieval town centers and, in addition to the typical tranquil landscape shaped by wine-growing tradition, also contain some wonderful cultural treasures. Famous throughout Europe is the lintel of the monastery of St. Genis in the neighboring town or the 10th-century Cathedral of Elne, but also check out the myriad of small medieval chapels, hermitages and monasteries that you stumble across on almost every walk. In the evening you can enjoy the sunset over the mostly snow-covered Mont Canigou, the legendary local mountain of the Catalans, with a glass of wonderful local red wine...
