I have lived in India, Botswana, Indonesia and Kenya but Deal is definitely my home. Travelling is in my blood and is the reason why I enjoy meeting people from around the globe. My two grown up sons have inherited my travelling gene so I find myself with room to spare in our family home, hence wanting to share it with others. I cherish spending time with my large family, enjoy looking after dogs, am passionate about gardening and love chocolate!!

My home is set in the historic smugglers town of Deal. An ancient port town, it is packed full of character, with a bountiful selection of independent clothes shops, bars and cafes as well as high street brands culminating in a rather artisan feel. It boasts two ancient castles, retro amusement arcades along the seafront, three weekly markets, wonderful architecture, a 1/4 mile long pier for breathtaking views of the coastline and two small museums all within walking distance. There is the Middle Street smugglers area conservation area and the Astor theatre for the arts. Deal has a lively vibe and offers many pubs to suit all tastes from traditional to modern as well as restaurants offering English, French, Thai, Chinese and Indian cuisine. There really is something for everyone in Deal so it is little wonder that it won the Telegraph’s ‘High Street of the Year Award’ in 2014. Walkers can enjoy the clifftop walk from Deal to Dover along the world famous White Cliffs of Dover, spotting France on a clear day. There is a cycle path through deal that straddles the coastline that is very popular with cyclists.
