The Apartment A spacious open-plan living area with sofa, dining area and fully-equipped kitchen. Large tiled bathroom with great rainfall shower, supplied with Malin & Goetz toiletries. Nice master bedroom with window looking out to Chester Cathedral. Location The property is located up a set of steps from Eastgate street, up to the Rows level; or alternatively via a laneway, lined with boutique shops, bars and restaurants, which avoids the steps. Once inside the communal door, there is a further set of stairs to bring you to the main hallway, followed by another set of stairs, up to the door of the apartment itself. Due to the historic layout of the building, and it’s listed status, there is no disabled access. Access Both the main communal door and apartment door are fitted with smart locks, which you can open via the Klevio app, on your phone. You’ll receive an email, 2+ days prior to arrival, to set up a Klevio account and download the app. Once downloaded you’ll just need to ‘accept’ the keys we’ve shared with you. These steps can all be done in advance, and it’s very straightforward. When you arrive at the property - you’ll just slide the respective key to the right, and click to unlock the door.
The Building A Georgian townhouse forming part of the city’s historic ‘Chester Rows’ and accessed from the upper level, the property sits directly between the Debenhams department store on Eastgate and the Cathedral. This is the epicentre of Chester and the perfect location from which to sample its many restaurants, bars and attractions. Parking There's plenty of city centre parking, within easy walking distance of the apartment. These are a few that we recommend - all of which are council operated, but there are private car parks as well, including a couple of NCPs. Grosvenor Shopping Centre (2 Newgate St, Chester CH1 1DE): Multi-storey, 2 mins walk to apartment (£10 per day). Market Place (6 Princess St, Chester CH1 2HH): Multi-storey, 5 mins walk to apartment (£7 per day). Watergate Street (New Crane St, Chester CH1 4JH): Outdoor, 8 mins walk to apartment (£5 per day). Train Chester is well situated if travelling by train, from all over the UK. Just 2.5 hrs direct train from London Euston. The property is just a 15-min walk, or a 7-min drive, with a taxi rank directly outside the station.
