Ford barn is a converted cob barn within the grounds of farm. Immediately in front of the barn is a lawn bordered by a stream and beyond that are fields, a lake and forest. At certain times of the year red deer stags congregate in the fields outside the woods. There are a resident pair of ravens that nest in a pine tree near the lake. On the farm itself there are ducks, turkeys, geese, dogs and horses. Dogs and their well behaved owners are welcome. The barn is a stand alone property with no other holiday accommodation on site. There is outside space and ample parking available with up to five cars. The barn can accommodate eight people within three bedrooms. The accommodation is on two floors and has three bedrooms one of which has an ensuite with a king size bed. The second bedroom has a standard double bed, and the third bedroom has two single beds and a double sofa bed. Separate to the bedrooms is a bathroom with toilet, sink and bath. The downstairs is open plan with a central log burning stove and under floor heating, with ample seating arrangements for both dining and relaxing. Beyond the barn is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

I am available and happy to help throughout your stay but will equally respect your privacy. The house is located across the yard from the barn so you will have complete privacy during your stay.

Ford Barn is based in a rural area of Chulmleigh, mid Devon. The north Devon coastline is just under an hour's drive away, as is the city of Exeter. The barn sits between two national parks, Exmoor and Dartmoor, both of which can be seen if you walk up the hill from the property. Keeping it local? Chulmleigh has has a host of independent shops, pubs, a bakery, a horse riding stables and a Tandoori curry house. Scattered across mid Devon are obscure small villages with their centuries old pubs and characters. Dogs are welcome upon request but please be mindful to keep them off the furniture and bear in mind there are free roaming farm birds (they all think they rule the roost!)
