Gerald was a wonderful host, the property was so well placed for the centre of Edinburgh only a 10 minute walk from the hop on hop off terminal. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfasts were substantial with a good selection for all tastes. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

While we did not have the opportunity to meet the legendary Gerald, his housekeeper filled his shoes most admirably. The accommodations were convenient, clean, and cozy. Breakfast featured more food than we could eat and bonus treats of chocolate and scotch made the stay even more terrific. Conversation and recommendations were all helpful. We highly recommend this place.
