Welcome! We open our home in Oxford for homestays. You will enjoy a large double bedroom with shared bathroom in a classic, cosy Victorian home in the historic Headington Quarry. You also have access to the living room and may use our kitchen.

We open our home to guests wishing to explore Oxford. We are a mother -teen son duo, with a tiny dog and a young cat. As a travel writer, we have explored our backyard more than most. We are always available to answer any questions or requests you might have. Other things to note: We are a shoe-free home We do not allow any smoking, drugs, or guests not booked in our home We ask you to follow our house rules.

The house is conveniently located close to shops, cafes, and public transport. You can easily reach the city centre, the university, and other attractions by bus, bike,,or car. You can also explore the beautiful countryside and the Cotswolds nearby, with the wonderful Shotover Country Park just a short walk away. We are close to Brookes University, the Churchill and Nuffield Hospitals with a direct bus connection to the John Radcliffe Hospital for those visiting either of them. The Headington Quarry Area is notable for its connection with C.S.Lewis, the famous author of the Narnia tales and many other books. Lewis lived in Headington for most of his life, from 1921 to 1963, and moved to three different houses in the area. He also worshipped at Holy Trinity Church, where he is buried in the churchyard. You can visit these places and follow his footsteps. Headington is a must-see destination for any fan of C. S.Lewis and his works.
