Whether you are a town, suburb, or country person a visit to Milton Keynes should be of interest, A fine example of residential and retail planning, with plenty to interest all tastes, entertainment, outdoor activities, and local history together with a good spirit of community.
Can't comment on the town itself, as the only reason for our trip was to go to Bletchley Park, which I would thoroughly recommend, along with the Museum of Computing nearby. We ate at the Old Swan in Houghton on the Green which was a short walk across parkland from Pear Tree Lodge where we were staying. Lovely meal in nice surroundings.
Didn't enjoy my visit here at all. People were very rude and not friendly at all. Couldn't wait to leave! The only great thing was that shops and restaurants were close to the hotel but otherwise wouldn't recommend visiting this city unless you had a genuine need.
What it lacks in history and prettiness it makes up in ease and accessibility. the roads are easy to drive, big grid system means you have plenty of routes to get to areas with little traffic. Plenty of shopping and entertainment.
So much to do with the family. Willan Lakes has the free adventure playground and boating lake, cafe with nice sun terrace. Hire family bikes, ice creams, walking. The tree top climbing experience... The big free fall drop, scary! But fun! Browns restaurant- delicious food and great service. Lots of choices for eating out. Xscape, indoor skiing, gravity, the bounce park, indoor adventure golf, bowling, cinema I could go on and on. Plenty of activities to choose from. No chance of getting bored here! Parking everywhere is easy with the Ring and Go App- it’s handy to be able to extend the time on your session if you need a bit longer while you’re out.
I like the car-free red routes and generally good signposting for walking around the city, as well as the open space and parklands in and near the city centre. I came for a community event in Wolverton and I like the lively and varied community groups and events there. I have now enjoyed two visits to the Milton Keynes Museum, set in a very attractive park and in a historic manor house and farm, with interesting exhibitions and friendly and informative volunteers. There is also an excellent cafe. The main disadvantage is the poor bus service in the city, although on this occasion I was fortunate with the buses.
Nothing room was filthy Didn't look like it'd been cleaned in weeks Bed was stained It smelt Only 1 towel even tho asked for 2 as we are a couple No Lift which wasn't obvious when booking and my misses is pregnant and struggles with stairs due to been nearly at the end of pregnancy Badly run and seemed to only care about certain individuals or be to busy on there phones to help Rubbish hotel would never stay again If I could give it less than 1 star I would
Although a little dated - the room was spacious with adequate storage space and an iron and board provided . The bed very comfortable. The room was perfect for our short stay. The bar and dining area was fine as was breakfast. As there was a large family group staying the hotel very kindly obliged our request for all rooms allocated to be close together. Ample car parking.
This isn't like other hotels. If you are expecting desks, chairs, windows, wardrobes, don't stop here and then complain afterwards! They are simple, comfortable, clean, well designed rooms. Excellent value for money in the center of Milton Keynes with an abundance of free parking! Absolute no brainer to stop here if you want value for money.
We stayed here for a week - The hotel was decent and was in close proximity (the furthest was 10 mins away) by car to a lot of the activities we booked in Milton Keynes. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times, the room had comfortable beds and the shower was powerful. Breakfast was also a decent selection - the eggs were very tasty.
It was my first time booking a hotel in Milton Keynes and it was amazing! I booked 2 more rooms for May because we loved it that much. I slept so well and the view was so nice. The area it was in was amazing. The restaurants surrounding the hotel was fab. I’d definitely recommend this hotel!
not sure if it was UEFA Staff or Hotel staff but the security to get in was ridiculous in terms of NOT letting hotel guests use the main entrance (probably due to the red carpet... WHAT?) and then treating us like criminals when approaching the hotel. A bit too much.
nothing still awaiting refund from them since the 29/7/22 have contacted but no response. Thin is from hotel itself even thou the said there were send or booking.com, i put my trust in both companies and both have been such a disappointment!!!
The room was excellent, the boss upgraded me to a king bed which was nice. The hotel staff were polite and efficient. Food, both evening meal and breakfast were also very good. Great location for both Milton Keynes central and rejoining the M6.
Lovely smart hotel, very clean, staff helpful and location and parking in the centre of town. The fourteen bar/terrace and restaurant very good, and the views across Milton Keynes and Campbell park are good.
The staff were excellent, check-in was very easy and the front desk explained everything. Couldn't fault any part of the hotel. Perfect location for Silverstone and evening out in Milton Keynes.
Hotel was modern and very clean, Decent location for eating out and not too far to walk to the transport hubs. Comfy bed and quite rooms, secure lift access via keycard activation.
