The castle looked clean and well kept whilst the streets and shop premises looked dirty, shabby and unkempt. It felt quite 'rough!' Lacking nice independent shops. Wasn't what I expected. Had a lovely welcome and excellent piping hot food in Meimo's Mediterranean/Moroccan restaurant. Decided not to visit the castle as was over-priced and didn't include admission to the Abbey. Eton was nicer to walk to.
Loved the castle - fabulous rooms and visit enhanced by the opportunity to see the bridal gown, groom's outfit and bridesmaid and page boy outfits from Meghan & Harry's wedding. We have been before but this time decided to stay 2 nights instead of just making a day trip like last time. The surrounding area is very pleasant for walking - especially in the sunshine which we were lucky to have, despite the cold. Great selection of shops - all pedestrianised - good choice of restaurants. Lovely to walk to the river and not much longer to cross over into Eton.
Everything you want . History . A Royal Castle . River walks. boat trips . Nice pubs and restaurants . Afternoon tea at Harte and Garter very good value and lovely scones. We ate at the Greek restaursnt near the river. It was great food and great ambiance. Will definitely visit again
The castle is superb along with the changing of the guard. Some good shops but a few big ones closed now. Quite alot of homeless people camped out in BUS stops and outside restaurants. Theatre was good and lovely restaurants just over the bridge and along the river. Cote has good food and service and ambience. Marco Pierre White restaurant lovely for a treat- but expensive.
We wanted to get away for two days and chose to visit Windsor which it's not very far from where we live in London. Unfortunately we found out later on than January is not a very good month to visit! Everything was closed to visitors (the castle, Mary's doll house, legoland), so we just walked around the city center and enjoyed the quietness of it. We had the nicest maroccan food at Meimo and loved how easy is to go around the city just by walk. Only thing we were able to witness was the change of the guards. We will definitely have to go back when the weather gets nicer and the attractions are more lively.
A visit to the Queens home viewing Meghan's wedding dress before the exhibition to Edinburgh. We enjoyed exploring the town and finding some exquisite public houses. However, the town was spoilt by the number of homeless people begging on the streets storing their possessions in doorways and bus shelters. I felt embarrassed for our foreign visitors and ashamed of our social services and other agencies.

The location of the hotel was excellent right outside the castle walls and a two minute walk into town.so right near all the shops and bars and restaurants. Fantastic location . Our room was opposite the murals on the castle walls which was lovely to watch. We went for New Years Eve and the hotel and castle and town had a lovely atmosphere and still very christmassy. The weather was so mild I felt I was on holiday abroad somwhere in Europe not in the UK until I spotted a bus to Heathrow lol.

We liked it was super clean and hotel staff really friendly and helpful (was supposed to have cot in the room, told the reception it wasn’t there and he immediately had one sent to the room) it’s in the perfect location to Windsor castle and legoland (this was the reason for our stay) we didn’t have dinner here, but had breakfast which was great! No complaints at all. The room was a decent size, and super clean. Tv worked perfectly. Bathroom super too.

Very close to the park and the castle and walking distance to the centre of the town too. It’s very convenient for traveling by car as you can park your car and still staying in central so that you can visit places without taxi or bus. It was so nice to have AC in our room as it got very hot even at night! Bathroom was very big and spacious. Shower was very powerful and had a nice set of toiletries too. We had a lovely time staying at this hotel.

Fabulous location in Eton ..a short walk across the bridge from Windsor. Eton was like a breath of fresh air away from all the tourist around the castle. We had cocktails in The Eton Mess .. Dinner in Christopher Wren Brasserie ..right on the doorstep!!! All great for a short break and a visit to Windsor castle. The apartment is lovely and bright..furnished well ..the bed is really comfortable..and the sheets hotel quality 😊

Castle Hotel Windsor is a beautiful hotel in a perfect location. It’s directly opposite side of Windsor castle: The hotel room was large and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. We checked into our room and we’re very happy to see two bottle of cold sparking and distilled water in the refrigerator. We love this hotel and definitely will come back again.

It is lovely and our host left a lemon cake, fruit and fresh milk for us. The amenities were great...washer/dryer, shampoos and fluffy towels. The location was a ten minute walk to Windsor Castle and shopping...I highly recommend this lovely old historic home!

The house is very close to the airport can just take a bus from T5 for 30 mins and walk five minutes. It was very comfortable, the bed was like a giant pillow and the staff were amazingly helpful. My luggage had never arrived at the airport so the man working offered to drive me to a very cheap mall in the district over so I could buy some new clothes. Also its walking distance from Windsor castle which was amazing to see
