A nice place to visit. I can't help to ponder as we walked through the streets seeing all the poverty around and yet the Queen and her minions have SO much wealth but seem unwilling to share. Sad.
Try the Windsor ice cream which is on sale near to the state rooms entrance, the salted caramel is one of the best I have had. The staff inside the castle are very knowledgeable and approachable for questions and sharing their royal experiences.
On a hot day, don’t go at the busy times. We saw queues in 30deg heat 45 minutes before the doors open! Don’t be one of those. Do your homework and go when it is not so busy. The Castle deserves you to savour it.
Better audio info would be good, trying to find the correct info with the sun on the screen tricky. I have been to places where audio comes on automatically when you pass through electronic number, this would be ideal!
Excellent visit to the historic castle. Get your entrance tickets in advance either online or at the tourist info booth near the station. It will save you a lot of time queuing to get tickets at the castle entrance, with tickets in hand you can bypass the long queues buying tickets to get in.
Disappointing! Queued for ages even though we had pre-purchased tickets and going through security was like being at airport! No places to eat and drink. I should have checked first and taken lunch with us. Ice cream in the tubs was very expensive! Much better value at a larger "shop" where choice of cones were available - well worth £4! Amazing flavours! Dolls house was not open and in my opinion, the cost of admittance, as a result, should have been less. This was my main reason for visiting! We enjoyed the visit but felt a bit "flat"! Shame - I'm not usually a complainer!
I booked with booking.com quick and easy to book. The room was perfect for our stay, clean tidy and fresh. the beds comfy and the bathroom well presented and clean. The breakfast was plentiful and good value for money, in a perfect location light and airy. the hotel was perfect location for Windsor Castle where we enjoyed a great day, with afternoon tea at the Windsor Hotel literally a stones throw from the castle. then a short journey back to the hotel. recommend a stay here if you are visiting Windsor Castle.
Fantastic Location, just below Windsor Castle and beside the Thames. Adjacent to Eaton over foot bridge. Only a few yards from the railway station to London. Riverside outside terrace and covered dining room. Very nice staff. Modern, comfortable and spacious rooms. Partial view of castle. Very good hygiene/social distancing. Parking (£15 per 24 hours) just a few hundred yards away in hotels own part of the station car park. Easy bag drop off. Various riverside dining and boat trip options within yards.
We absolutely loved the location, it was perfect for getting into Windsor quickly, but once in the apartment you felt completely away from it all. It is a stunning holiday home, had everything we needed and was really modern. We all want to know where the mattresses are from so we can buy one for home. It felt very secure and secluded. The main lounge view had a spectacular view of Windsor Castle, so much so we hated closing the curtains in the evening. Will definetly be back
Central hotel providing lovely clean, large room looking onto the High Street. Check-in was a little weird as asked to input my card details and CVC on a laptop. Hoping the card payment system has been upgraded by now! Nice and quiet just a stones throw from Windsor Castle and myriad of shops. Would love it if they can provide secure road bike storage for our next trip. Did not have breakfast due to COVID measures. Many thanks!
Hotel is in a excellent location in WIndsor and is opposite Windsor Castle which was well worth the visit. There is parking at the hotel that is bookable in advance it is expensive to park at hotel but its worth it as there are not a lot of available parking spaces elsewhere in Windsor. Hotel is just a short walk from the river where you can have a lovely walk of take a boat trip both are very worth while
The hotel is in a great location. My daughter and I stayed here when visiting Windsor Castle and Lego Land, and it was ideal, just ten minutes or so from each. Room was clean, comfortable and well put together. Staff were most helpful when I needed to amend my booking before our trip. There was plenty of parking when we visited, and it was free too - bonus!
Great location, stunning grounds and close to legoland & Windsor Castle. The rooms where comfortable, as were the beds. We loved walking round the absolutly HUGE hotel looking at the art on the walls. Its stunning!
The hotel was just across the road from Great Windsor Park and ten minute walk from Windsor Castle. Both the breakfast and dinner was very good. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful.
Hotel as close to Windsor castle as it is possible to get.

Windsor Castle is second to none for a taste of royal history
Windsor Castle is well known and as the base for our Royal Family it is in extremely well maintained. It is interesting to walk round and has many historical items.
