Jane and Gareth have lived in the Cubert area for nearly 35 years and “wouldn’t want to live anywhere else”. We moved from Cubert to Holywell in 1999 in search of a larger family home and ended up quite chance buying the bungalow next door which we named Ragheeb, after the farm we lived on for 5 years in Saudi-Arabia. Five years ago we managed to get planning permission to build a new house in the garden of Ragheeb and just 18 months ago we finally moved in to Inshallah, which you have seen in the photographs. After over 30 years as a passionate and dedicated midwife, Jane has decided it is time for a new challenge and direction. So with the combination of a close -to-beach location, a wonderful new home and a genuine desire to meet people, Holywell Bay B and B was born. Do come and enjoy it with us. In our spare time we both enjoy running, cycling and walking together. Jane’s particular passions are two Labradors (Lola and Hector) while Gareth spends a fair amount of time on the tennis court. We count ourselves very fortunate that we can pursue all of these pastimes and hobbies literally on our doorstep.

Currently, in view of corona virus, only our premier room is open so guests can be reassured social distancing measures are in place, and an adjoining bedroom has been changed into a private lounge / dining area with a microwave for guests sole us. Set in the heart of Poldark country on Cornwall's north coast, Holywell Bay Bed and Breakfast offers guests a chance to relax in a modern contemporary house overlooking a golf course and sand dunes and only a 10 minute walk to Holywell's stunning sandy beach. There is a choice of a premier ensuite double bedroom with stunning views or a standard ensuite double bedroom. An adjoining double bedroom with "Jack and Jill" bathroom is also available for family and friends. The house is situated on the north coast between Newquay and Perranporth. Holywell Bay is frequently use by film companies due to its unspoilt position. It has been used for filming books by Rosamund Pilcher and Agatha Christy and provided the beach locations for the popular Poldark television series. There are two popular pubs/restaurants within easy walking distance from the house. We are also in easy reach of Rick Stein’s seafood restaurant in Padstow.

Holywell beach is a popular surfing beach patrolled by lifeguards. Wetsuits and boards can by hired locally and surfing lessons are available on the beach. The house overlooks the golf course with both an 18 hole course and the country’s largest pitch and putt course. Situated close to the South West Coast Path, there are scenic walks and runs overlooking the dramatic coastline in both directions. This national trail has been voted Britain’s best walking route by Ramblers’ Walk magazine and regularly features in lists of the world’s best walks. There is also a variety of cycling opportunities available locally for both road and mountain bike enthusiasts. Newquay: a popular holiday destination with excellent beaches and a lively nightlife, is only five miles away. Truro: the historic county city with its impressive cathedral is only twelve miles away. Trerice House: a National Trust property including an Elizabethan manor house and gardens lies just a few miles away. Within an hour’s drive are Cornish highlights such as the Eden Project, St Michaels Mount, The Minnack Theatre and The Tate at St Ives.
