Muggles Mews is a characterful duplex apartment located in the centre of Alnwick. This comfortable one bedroom holiday home is perfect for those looking to explore the local area and the beauty of the Northumberland region. Sleeping two guests in a super king bed the property is ideal for couples or solo travellers. Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during guest bookings. For this reason, we require all our guests to transfer a Damage Deposit (refundable, subject to an administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver which will cover you for up to 500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Muggles Mews is located in the centre of Alnwick allowing you to explore the many shops, restaurants and bars of this wonderful market town. Site of many a medieval skirmish, the Northumberland countryside is dotted with evidence of its turbulent past between Scotland and England. Crumbling castle ruins stand alongside Roman feats of engineering – Hadrian’s Wall stretches the length of the county. And there are just as many restored castles, like Alnwick and Bamburgh Castle to sample what life would have been like in the days of yore. Muggles Mews backs onto Alnwick Castle so you are ideally placed to explore a historic site which has been a location of filming for Harry Potter and Downton Abbey. Northumberland National Park dominates the north of the county, where Kielder Forest Park is home to all kinds of adventure sports and a dark sky park stretches over the moorlands. On the coast, fishing villages are set around cute little harbours, piled high with lobster pots. Take a boat out to the Farne Islands to spot puffins and seals, or cross the tidal causeway to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne where a crumbling priory and clifftop castle make for dramatic sights.
