All of the products provided in your apartment are free from animal products and have not been tested on animals. LOCAL & INDEPENDENT: As a local independent business it is important to us that we support other local independents. York, and Yorkshire, just wouldn’t be the same without them. In the apartment you will find top tips for our favourite independents, along with the Indy York City Map so that you can find your own favourites along the way. We like to provide you with those extra treats that make a break that bit more memorable, with a unique, custom blend, chocolate orange tea, from Birdhouse Tea Company, and single origin speciality coffees from North Star Coffee Roasters.
ABOUT US: Having travelled extensively throughout Europe, we wanted to create a space that we would want to stay in. As vegans, and beer lovers, we have always found ourselves straying from the well trodden tourist path in search of local food and drink experiences. We love to walk the backstreets of great cities and discover their forgotten corners. Our aim is to create a base that will help others to discover a ‘locals’ York. A York of snickleways, hidden treasures, and spectacular views. We hope you enjoy ‘our’ York.
THE APARTMENT: Located within Rowntree Wharf, a listed Victorian building on the river Foss, and significant York landmark, that was once Rowntree’s cocoa bean warehouse, Joseph is the ideal space for those wishing to explore the city, or to enjoy a cosy night in. Joseph is one of three individually designed studio apartments by I Should Cocoa York, situated within York’s historic city walls. Complete with free on-site car parking, this generous studio apartment provides easy access to the city’s many tourist attractions, bars, and restaurants, whilst offering guests a peaceful riverside haven to retreat to at the end of a busy day. The apartment benefits from a double bed, with 100% Egyptian cotton linen, comfortable seating area, stylish shower room, and well equipped kitchen. The apartment also provides free wifi, ideal for those visiting for work, as well as a Bluetooth speaker, and a Smart TV, great for those cosy nights in.
