This is a gem! It is a beautiful cottage with such a positive vibe, history and lovely farm animals. My 10 year old really liked feeding the chicken and petting the horse. A huge thanks to Thomas and Leona who met us on arrival and kept some nice bread, fresh eggs, milk etc. for us. This cottage is located within 30 mins drive to Belfast city and not far from the Causeway’s historic places. I have been using booking for more than 10 years and this is one of the best places I have stayed in.

It is a lovely cosy cottage, perfect for a home from home break away. Loved our feathered neighbours at tihe back , chickens and ducks, fresh eggs every day. Also has cows and the gentlest horse I've ever known! Tom and Leona were perfect hosts, meeting us as we arrived and had the fire ready, even left a lovely food basket with some basics in, lovely fresh eggs! Only a phonecall away if we needed anything and so helpful. There is a separate outhouse with laundry facilities, plenty coal and logs for the fire. Central heating too, which was very welcome after a long day out and about. Clean, tidy, so relaxing, comfy beds, great shower and bath, everything you need. Perfect for what we needed, highly recommended and we will be back.

absolutely loved it! such a pretty house with a mini farm at the back. we definitely enjoyed the egg picking in the morning! they have a horse, cows, ducks & hens.

We had an amazing time at Lough Shore Cottage. privacy, comfort and great hosts. Our 18 months son was more impressed by the chickens, ducks, caws and horse from Lough Shore Cottage than the animals in Belfast Zoo :-). Worth every penny unbelievable experience ! Highly Recommend for families with small kids or who wants to get out of the city and experience country life.

The way we were greeted made us feel very welcome and everything about the cottage was extremely homely. From the endless amount of l coal for the fire and fresh eggs from their very own hens out the back and their welcome basket filled with lovely breads and local honey we were very pleased and would defintily stay again. .

This cottage was perfect.. fantastic location, clean, warm, comfortable, lovely extra touches with some toiletries and a food hamper and fresh eggs. My kids loved meeting Horse and the chickens. Thomas was very welcoming and gave some great recommendations for our visit. We would definitely recommend a stay and we can’t wait to visit again.

Loved this lovley cottage,had everything you need,owners were very helpful even had a little hamper on arrival including sour bread jam home made honey Irish butter tea coffee milk in fridge, new pack tooth brushes and toothpaste,bar soap,travel size shampoo,clean towls and flannels,fresh white linen.

Everything about the cottage from start to finish. It was so cosy and provides everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hosts Thomas and Leona met us on arrival provided some much needed essentials and the fire was ready to go just had to strike a match!
