Midships is a privately-owned luxury lodge located on a select development of only 34 lodges located only 5 miles from Salcombe, and the beautiful beaches of Soar Mill & Hope Cove. This is the perfect place to relax and explore, on a quiet corner plot surrounded by fields. The lodge can sleep 6 people, with two double beds, and two singles. The main double bedroom has substainal storage comprising of fitted sliding wardrobes from floor to ceiling, a vanity area, and bedside cabinets. It also has a flat screen tv. The second of the double bedrooms, has hanging space for a few clothes, a chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. This room also has a flat screen tv. The 3rd bedroom, although small, has two 3ft single beds, a bedside cabinet between the beds, and a large fitted wardrobe with mirrors. This room is more suitable for children, but is adequate for adults. This room does not have a tv. The lodge boast two well equipped bathrooms, one with bath/ shower, basin and wc, the other shower, basin & wc. Fully equipped kitchen and outdoor BBQ. During the height of the season, Midships is generally rented out for a full week, starting on Saturdays.

My name is Jo, and I was born in Kingsbridge and have lived in the area all my life. Currently I live in the village of Malborough with my partner, Colin, and Ralph, our cockerpoo. Over the years we have owned the local pub, but have been running a very successful B&B called Little Orchard House in Malborough, for the past 5 years, currently rated 9.8 The purchase of this lodge has been in response to the guests wishing that their families could come and stay too, and also somewhere that is 'dog friendly'. I am on hand to help with anything you might need, from information about the local area, places to eat, taxi numbers, or problems that may occur during your stay, I am only a 5 minute drive away.

This luxury lodge, is perfect for families, it has a safe play area, with swings and climbing frame which is visible from the lodge. The open field allows children to run around in a very safe enclosed environment. The site has picnic benches, a shop selling basic amenities including alcoholic beverages, and wonderful homemade pizza's, burgers, and a deli. The local beach at Soar Mill Cove, is a short 20 minutes walk from Midships, and the Soar Mill Cove hotel boasts panoramic sea views, and serves beautiful lunches, and evening meals, and is open to non-residents. A short 5 minute drive for the site, brings you to the village of Malborough, where you will find two lovely pubs. One, The Old Inn, serves wonderful food, and the other is popular with the locals who enjoy it's quirkiness, and music. Salcombe is a short, 10 minute drive away, and is known as the 'English Riviera'. The views of the estuary are truly breathtaking. There are many designer shops, pubs, and restaurants, and with parking so restricted, you would be advised to take a taxi, or a local bus from Malborough. There are many beautiful coastal walks, and numerous beaches a short drive away.
