Rocester is a picturesque village on the boundary between Derbyshire and Staffordshire. It sits on a triangular plot of ground between the rivers Churnet and Dove. Domesday Book mentions the town, which is located on the site of a former Roman fort. The renowned JCB factory can be found in Rocester, and the grounds of the plant and the neighbouring park have been beautifully landscaped to offer visitors with a pleasant place to stroll and see the unique sculptures that decorate the grounds. The Fossor, the largest of these, is a digger created entirely out of other digger parts and a striking symbol of JCB.
