Dogs are very welcome here and can enjoy the enclosed garden and dog-friendly furniture while you relax in the spacious open-plan living area with log-burner. Amazing views of mountains & countryside - you may even see deer in the garden! A traditional stone cottage built in 1868, Owl Cottage features a large, sociable kitchen/dining/living area with wood burner, master bedroom with king size bed, second bedroom with bunk beds, shower room, enclosed back garden, off-street parking and stunning views over the forest and mountains opposite. The well-equipped kitchen features a breakfast bar, dishwasher, electric range cooker, fridge, freezer, Nespresso machine and washer/dryer. Plenty of storage space and a wide range of kitchen equipment makes this great area if you choose to cook on your holiday. The enclosed garden is dog friendly. Enjoy the peace and quiet and spot the wildlife on the hill - including deer, best spotted at dusk or dawn. All accommodation is on one level. Please note that there is no wifi or television reception at the cottage. There is a DVD player with a selection of DVDs and a range of books and games supplied for quiet evenings in. Phone reception may be limited depending on your provider.

I live in Inverness and love hiking around the beautiful mountains and lochs with my dogs. I feel so fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of the world. I live an hour away in Inverness. I will be available by phone if required.

There is parking in front of the cottage for one car - please ensure you don't block access to the neighbouring cottage. There is a bus that goes to Fort William and Inverness but a car or bicycles are really essential to get around this rural area. Bicycles can be kept in the locked shed for security - they must not be taken into the cottage. Loch Ness and Fort Augustus are just 3 miles away with a range of local shops and attractions, cycle hire, golf club and boat trips on Loch Ness. Beautiful Loch Oich is just five minutes away - join the Great Glen Way and Caledonian Canal here and enjoy some beautiful walks, an excellent cycle route, or even a wild swim for the brave. Ben Nevis and Fort William are around 40 minutes drive and Inverness is an hour away. Drumnadrochit and the Nessie museum are around half an hour away.
