Pengwern is a stone-built, detached farmhouse set in a delightful hillside position, next to the owner's home near Llangynog. Boasting fantastic views, this cottage has six bedrooms; a double, a family room with super king-size double and single bed and en-suite shower room, two king-size doubles (zip/link can be twins on request), a second floor king-size double with en-suite shower room, a second floor family room with king-size double (zip/link can be twins on request) and two single beds, sleeping 15 guests. There is also a bathroom, ground floor cloakroom, kitchen/diner, utility, dining room, sitting room with woodburning stove, drying room and games room with a full-sized snooker table. Outside is ample off-road parking, lockable bike storage and a patio garden with furniture. Pengwern sits in a beautiful location, perfect for families and groups of friends wishing to enjoy the many nearby footpaths and mountain biking available. This charming community is about four miles from the majestic Pistyll Rhaeadr (a 240-foot-high waterfall), one of Wales' Seven Wonders, in the lovely Tanat Valley at the base of the Berwyn Mountains. The Englishman Who Went Up A Hill But Came Down A Mountain and, more recently, the David Tennant-starring movie Nativity 2 were both filmed in Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant. The community has three pubs, a café, a fish and chip restaurant, an Indian takeaway, two general stores, a newsagent, a post office, a butcher.
