Located in the rural hamlet of Radcot, Oxfordshire, Radcot Bridge Cottage is a spacious three-bedroom cottage with the River Thames flowing at the foot of the garden. The tiny hamlet of Radcot is one of the oldest crossing points over the river Thames and thus is an excellent base to begin exploring the Thames Path, a beautiful, far reaching national trail. A short drive away is Faringdon Folly Tower, a 100ft folly tower said to be the last major folly built in England, set within four acres of charming woodland. The National Trust has plenty to offer nearby; spend the day at the family home of Lord Faringdon, Buscot Park or head over to Uffington to see the Bronze-age White Horse Hill. The pretty town of Woodstock is home to the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace, which is steeped in history and is surrounded by beauty. Blenheim Palace hosts a variety of events throughout the year. Visit Kelmscott Manor, once the country retreat of William Morris, where today visitors can visit the house with its Arts and Crafts interiors, gardens, gift shop and tea room.
