Great Yarmouth is easily accessible by car or train, and the surrounding seaside towns and villages of Gorleston-on-Sea, Hemsby, Caister-on-Sea, Winterton, California, Newport and Hopton-on-Sea, all offering entertainment for a family holiday, as well as the pretty Broadland villages and countryside can be explored by car. RSPB reserve at Strumpshaw Fen, 3 miles. Norfolk’s finest sandy beaches are 12 miles. The fine city of Norwich is 8 miles away and also easily accessible by car or train, with its excellent shopping, theatre, restaurants, inns, cafés, castle and museum. For fun-filled family days out there is Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens with a renowned collection of Asian mammals including birds; you will also find reptiles in the pleasantly landscaped gardens. Close by, the village of Strumpsham has a steam museum, and Reedham offers Pettitts Animal Adventure Park. BeWilderwood and Pleasurewood Hills Theme park are also close by.
