Welcome to The Anvil at Merrymeeting, a well-equipped 2 bedroom cottage adjoined to our family home in the heart of Cornwall. We are 4 miles from the town of Redruth, less than a 20 minute drive to an array of beaches on both the North and South coasts and ideally located to explore and enjoy all that Cornwall has to offer. The Anvil can accommodate up to 6 guests as we have a sofa bed in the living room however for maximum comfort we recommend 4 guests.
Family of five based in Cornwall. We enjoy coastal walks, sea swimming and exploring the rest of the country when we can! The Anvil is adjoined to our family home, we’ll be on hand to offer any assistance or guidance if required. Contact details are in the house manual and online.
The Anvil is situated 4 miles from Redruth in the hamlet of Merrymeeting, on the main A393 Redruth to Falmouth road between the villages of Lanner and Ponsanooth. It is an ideal location to explore the many beaches, gardens and trails of Cornwall's north and south coasts. Truro and Falmouth are a short drive away with an array of independent shops, restaurants, cafes and fine dining. We recommend having access to a car to fully explore the area. There is a bus stop located a short walk away with regular services to Falmouth, Redruth and Truro. Perranwell train station is 3 miles away with links to Truro, Penryn and Falmouth. Redruth train station is 4 miles away and has links to St Ives and Penzance. Newquay airport is 26miles away.
