The Firs is a great location for easy access to the whole Isle of Man. We had a car which helped, but there are plenty of other transport options. The Moorside annex is so roomy and comfortable and the breakfast was great. Paul and Ed were charming hosts and made us feel really welcome. They offered great advice and local knowledge that meant we got the absolute best out of our all too brief stay on the island.

I would recommend staying at The Firs to anyone want a better than 5-star accommodation in or around Doublas, IoM (unless, of course, it meant there was no room for us to re-book). The property is in a very quiet location but close to the town centre. We were in the annexe which is enormous with large living area, a good size bedroom, a bathroom you could have a party in and its own well appointed kitchen. And then you have the ever helpful Paul cooking extraordinary breakfasts, providing good advice on where to eat and what you can do around the island.

Perfect stay at Moorside Annex. The annex was exceptionally clean and comfortable with everything you needed. Breakfasts were delicious and freshly cooked. The hosts were lovely, very friendly with great knowledge of the area, they made our week long holiday very special.

Paul, our host, was very welcoming and made us feel nothing was too much trouble. His cooked breakfasts were fresh and tasty and he catered for individuals preferences of breakfast, cooked or otherwise. The property was immaculate throughout and very comfortable. Towels were changed regularly, daily if desired. We only had a short stay and so a change of bed linen was not necessary during our stay, but information in the property stated bed linen would be changed every 3 days if desired. The property is ideally situated only a few minutes drive, or 25 minute walk, from Douglas seafront and the horse-drawn tramway and electric tram to Laxey and Snaefell summit. A fabulous property to stay in.
