Designed and built by ourselves in 2009, our property makes the most of the stunning scenery and natural views of the countryside. We have a modern, comfortable and quiet home, that you can relax, enjoy the countryside, and chill out in.
Myself and Steve my husband moved to Aviemore in 1984 and ran a successful B&B at Coylumbridge for 10 years. We sold that when our daughter Michelle was born, but her passion for horses saw us move to Balgowan in 2005. We set up a successful horse training business, and built our house in 2009. We have re-started the B&B business in this property which has flourished, and we now have 2 rooms sleeping up to 6 people, with plans for more in 2017.
As we are out in the countryside, a car is essential if you are staying with us. We have our local hotel a 10 minute stroll from our house, with further restaurants and hotels in the villages of Newtonmore which are a 10 minute drive.
We live in one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland, with an abundance of walks and trails right on our doorstep. It was also the base for the the filming of the famous TV series "Monarch of the Glen" For the more energetic, the Wolftrax mountain biking centre is a 5 minute drive from the house.
