This three bedroom Grade 2 listed property has been carefully, tastefully and lovingly renovated to a high spec. It's perfect for a group of friends, or a family, as there is only one bathroom. As a foodie myself, I have set the kitchen up with enough equipment for you to cook full meals. And there is a washer dryer for walking parties who, ,might want to do a wash midway through their tour. It sleeps 5 comfortably, 6 at a push, using the sofa bed. Own large drive (rare thing for the area, as you'll see) and my clean team always leave some biscuits, tea and coffee and UHT milk so you can make a cuppa and relax as soon as you arrive. There is a great Food Store 5 mins walk away, and supermarkets galore in Stroud (incl Farmers Markets) and Cheltenham and Gloucester, all v near.
I grew up near Painswick, and have always loved the village. It's quintessential and authentic Cotswolds. I am happy to introduce people to it from all over the world. Though I don't live locally, I do have The Lower Flat, which I occasionally use on weekends, so may or not meet you I person, but am always available online or by phone.
It's the perfect base to explore the Cotswolds. Super smart hotel (with amazing Gin menu) few minutes away and lots of places to eat, and drink, all in the village. From high end to quality pub grub. On a bus route between Stroud (neatest train station) and Cheltenham, so you can leave the car in the drive. St Mary's Church set in magical yew tree grounds few minutes away, the house is pretty much in the centre of the village, so it's all there on the doorstep. 15 min cab ride from Stroud. It's quiet at night, its a gentle place to stay.
