Beautiful renovated stone house with an astonishing sea view in a quite and pittoresque traditional village.
Hi! My name is Aris and as a host I want you to feel at home, relax and just enjoy your well deserved vacation! If quiet and serenety is what you are looking for then that is what we have in common! For over 30 years now this village has been my perfect escape spot from the hustle and bustle of Athens where I mainly reside. As a tourist guide I know this island inside out , it has a rich history and great sites to explore. I am a foodlover and Chios has an abundance of gastonomical hidden gems! Just ask me and I will gladly assist you to make this a memorable stay! Most of our guests come back again and again! Best regards and see you soon!
Spectacular seaviews in this quiet village is what attracts most of our visitors. The smell of beautiful wild flowers is remarkable and in the distance you hear the bells of goats grazing in the hills surrounding the area. Volissos once had a grand medieval castle and it's ruins are still impressive and imposing on top of the village. At a 20 minutes drive from the village one can visit the monastery of Agia Marcella which is the patron Saint of the whole island and it's considered a local pilgrimage site. A visit to the thermal springs of Agiasmata is a must do. Along the way to it you can stop at the village Egrigoros where the winery of the finest Chiotan wine is cultivated. The cave of Agios Galas is definitely worth it , located in a oasis of green plane trees and a lovely cool creek. Under the trees you can have a great meal of it's small tavern. In general there is a variety of great beaches nearby to choose from, whether you like pebbles, sand or rocky beaches. Sunsets and full moon sceneries are magical and unforgettable.
