Newly renovated stone-built studio apartment (~20 sqm size), one of four apartments of a renovated historical townhouse of the late 1800s. Fully restored to the highest standards using natural materials. Located in one of the neighborhoods of the old town, a breath away from the main city square (Liberty Square) and archaeological museum. On a narrow village-like street with no car traffic you get the best of both sides: be at the heart of the city and enjoy the peace and quiet of a suburban neighborhood. It is on the ground floor, designed in a traditional "island-like" style with some blended modern touches and sleeps 2 people (two single beds). The house has a common yard on two levels. Guests will have use of the lower level which includes, besides the dedicated seating area outside the apartment, also some additional space such as a stone-built bench. The apartment offers its own well-equipped kitchenette, a charming traditional style-made bathroom with a high-pressure shower (rare for Heraklion), constant hot water and a smart TV for video streaming services like Netflix. The space is full of character and far from being an apartment in a "standard building block".

The neighbourhood is in the historical old town part characterised by narrow streets with no car traffic. The neighbourhood has a very rich history dating back to the glorious venetian period. It is 2 min walk from the central square of the city and a few minutes walk from all other major sightseeings. Although right at the heart of the city the neighbourhood is very quiet making one feel they are in a village. Every major city centre sightseeing such as the venetian 4 lions Square and the archaeological museum are only a few minutes away on foot. The venetian port is a 15 min walk. The area is full of traditional cafes, bakeries etc.
