Through a journey that started in 2001, Oreo Travel was founded by Stratos Beretis, an experienced member of the Greek Tourism Industry, a Graduate of the Department of Economics of the University of Crete and a Master Degree Holder in Tourism Business Management. Having passed through several management positions, he was won over by the occupation with tailor made tourism services and especially in inbound tourism in villas, independent properties, country houses and small holiday rental units. Oreo Travel started as a representative of global tour operators and continues to this day with an ever-growing network of partners and properties in Crete, Peloponnese and Athens, in line with the new promotional and managing methods. Our goal at Oreo Travel is to promote the properties we partner with in the best way possible, by solely operating as a booking agent on behalf of our partner-property owners, whom we advise and guide in providing high standards of hospitality for their guests, in accordance with the regulations and the laws that govern the accommodation industry. Furthermore, we are constantly available for our guests to answer questions, solve potential problems that may arise while booking or staying in and to recommend services that may be needed to facilitate their stay and maximize their travel experience (car rental, transportation, tours, excursions and concierge services). Souda Bay Cottage is a 70sq.m. one-storey holiday house at the south coast of Crete island, above the beautiful Souda bay, a few minutes from Plakias village. It has a spectacular view of the south coast sea, of Souda and Plakias bays and it is near all the amenities for a comfortable holiday. In front of the house, there is a lawn area and an 18 sq.m. private swimming pool with plenty of surrounding relaxing areas equipped with exterior furniture, sun beds, and umbrellas. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two twin beds. Both bedrooms have private en-suite modern, fully equipped bathrooms. There is an open-plan modern kitchen that is fully equipped with all modern appliances and a dining table. The living room has a flat-screen satellite TV, a fireplace and it leads to a covered patio fully furnished with exterior furniture, where you can have your meals and spend many relaxing hours outside the house enjoying the magnificent view and the serene atmosphere. Plakias is a coastal settlement at the southern Crete, 40 km south of Rethymno, with 237 permanent residents, built at the cove of the bay of the same name on a wonderful sandy beach, 1300 m long, between the capes Stavros and Kako Mouri, that is ideal for swimming and sea sports. Plakias belong to the municipalities of Selia (the western part) and Mirthios (the eastern part) a couple of picturesque villages located not far from Plakias. The first mention of Plakias was in the census of 1961 when only 6 fishermen were its permanent inhabitants. The natural beauty of the place helped Plakias to become a renowned tourist resort now providing all the facilities that a visitor could wish. Large hotels, youth hostel, small traditional style apartments, camping sites, taverns, restaurants, bars, everything to make the visitors' stay comfortable and unforgettable. There are many small secluded beaches for naturalism lovers as well as some organized ones providing quite a few facilities such as sun chairs, umbrellas, sea sports, etc.
