Ger's offers rooms in a family home that is close to Salthill and with easy bus access to Galway City Centre. Galway a great city of culture, with a huge selection of music venues, theatres and restaurants. Ideally placed to explore the wonderful world of Connemara, Aran islands and the Cliff of Moher. This is room only accommodation with a coffee shop and supermarket only 2 minutes walk away. There is free parking on site and check-in is via a key box. Although there is no reception or staff on site as it is a family home then asking for extra's is easy by phone or when we meet in the hallway.
Galway is a great city and can be explored on foot, to visit the university, cathedral, museums, the famous Spanish Arch and Charlie’s bookstore. Galway Bay offers may opportunities for sea swimming with Salthill being the most popular, which a 15 min walk from the house The city has a rich night life of great restaurants, pubs and on the street music. The city is very safe to walk around but one must be aware as in all cities of the pick pocketers. The city can also be explored with the City hop on hop off open top Bus tour and other walking/food tours can all be booked online. A good tip is to download getyourguide travel and tickets app for a full itinerary of what is available both within the city and how to use Galway a base for exploring the Aran Islands, Connemara & Cong , Cliffs of Moher and Burren
