I'm a former international schools administrator and current education consultant who works with Chinese parents to send their sons and daughters to be educated in the US. I've used Air B and B a few times and have been impressed with the quality of the properties and the product and am taking a big leap to offer my home to others. Built in 2006, it is my only home and my favorite place in the world. It has been my privilege to leave the keys for family and friends over the years, and I am happy to do that for travelers who want to get a glimpse of the absolute majesty of Ireland and Kerry County. The house is well-managed in our absence. Contact information for the caretaker will be sent to all guests and is also included in the Guest Guidebook found in the house on your arrival. The caretaker will usually meet you upon arrival unless otherwise arranged. Other than that, the caretaker will only bother you if you need something or if there is an emergency.

What makes Dreenagree unique is that it is not a neighborhood. Once you hit the last two miles to the house, you may see 6 or 7 houses along the way. You are in rural Ireland, where people are genuine and kind and always helpful. Our closest neighbors live a couple hundred meters up the road. Apart from that, our neighbors are sheep and cows and hares and goats. In the village, there are a couple of good restaurants, like the Village Kitchen, and several pubs that offer excellent lunches and dinners. We highly recommend D. O'Sheas. Two convenience stores are at opposite ends of the town, and the one we frequent is DJ O'Sullivans.
