I've visited Kenmare a number of times over the past few years and stayed it quite a few places. The Coachmans is a perfect location, right in the centre of town. The bedrooms were large, comfortable, clean and modern. The staff were brilliant and even arranged for a quiet place to work on Monday morning before my flight. Fantastic stay.

Everything about our experience at Lagom was amazing. It was truthfully such a pleasant, easy, welcoming experience after we'd had a long day of driving and some hiccups. They helped us with our luggage, booked us a table at the restaurant, and went out of their way to accommodate anything we needed. The rooms were so comfy and warm and cozy! Big beds, very comfortable, spacious, quiet, it was heaven. The design is all very thoughtful. And the food, OMG to die for. We had two of our best meals on our whole Wild Atlantic Way here, so fresh and innovative and delicious. Breakfast was also spectacular.

FAQs about hotels in Kenmare

What guests said about Kenmare:

Scored out of 10, guest rating 10

The restaurant food and staff were exceptional.

The restaurant food and staff were exceptional. Sharon, in particular was very helpful and had a wealth of knowledge about the local area and even advised on a drink selction that I never had before .... a white wine with white lemonade, which I thoroughly enjoyed and I think will be my dinner drink for many years to come. Monica who served us at the table was also very personable, pleasant and efficient. We live in Dublin, but expect to see us at the Kenmare Bay Hotel many times in the years to come ... a home away from home. Disliked · To be honest there was nothing we didnt like.

A lovely town with plenty of nice restaurants and pubs and lots of beautiful interesting places to visit in the area. Near the ring of Kerry and beside the Beara peninsula. Helens Bar in Kilmakilloge on the ring of Beara is a particular favourite.

Kenmare is a beautiful town with some excellent restaurants and pubs. It is lovely for an overnight stay or even for a day trip. It has an added and unusual bonus of free parking within the town with toilet facilities next to the car park.

Kenmare is a beautiful town, with easy access to the Beara Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. If you're looking for a small town with some good food and great pubs, this is a nice little stop. Make sure you stop in at PF McCarthy's! Alan and his team were wonderful to meet.

Kenmare, a classic Irish town, offers everything one would expect from a rural Irish town. Well stocked shops, great pubs, cafes and restaurants, and delightful surrounding countryside. It will suit sightseer's, cyclists, and walkers, and is well priced across all aspects pertinent to holidaying. The larger hotels are open to the casual user for eating and trail walking around some of the most beautiful coastal scenery anywhere.

Kathleen has been a warm and welcoming host who greeted us upon arrival at her lovely B&B which is in a quiet setting but only 5 min walk to the Kenmare town centre. Clean, comfortable and spacious room with private bathroom. Note that there is no breakfast but you can help yourself to coffee, tea, water and juices, and little snacks in the lounge. Kathleen also gave us some great suggestions for places to have breakfast or other meals in town. There is parking available on site as well.

The location was perfect, super convenient and within walking distance to everything in town. Plentiful parking nearby. The hostess was excellent and works so hard at breakfast to make amazing meals and provide a plethora of options -- the breakfast is a real highlight. Also this is completely unrelated to the hotel experience but in case the hostess reads this -- you have really beautiful handwriting on the breakfast menus!

This is a boutique hotel so it offers guests a personal service eg tea in your room at no extra charge. The staff are all very geared to meeting guests special needs eg gluten free. It has a very nice restaurant if you don’t want to eat in Kenmare town. It is also very close to town if you want to eat there.
