The property is located very centrally, and everything is reachable in 5 min walk. It is a unique old fisherman house with a beautiful and warm ambient. The house was equipped with all essentials in the kitchen and the bathroom, and towels and linen.

Located in the old town of Reykjavik, this iconic house was built the year 1898 by the beloved Icelandic poet Einar Ben. The house was is imported by ship from Norway and one can see signs of that here and there in the house, such as markings on the beams. The house is owned by a family of artists who have left their mark on its every detail. The interior style is an interesting fusion of old Scandinavia and raw modern art. The house is filled with artwork, paintings, photographs and ceramics by its owners which make it totally unique.
I have a masters degree in philosophy and teaching. I am quite a seasoned traveler, speak several languages and have lived in a few other countries than Iceland. Currently I work closely with my mother in her art studio and freelance as a photographer. These particular days, though, I spend with my newborn son and enjoy life as a mother of two living in a beautiful architectural house in Reykjavík city. One of the main themes in my life is to explore and discover, to broaden my mind and experience as much as I can. It is my belief that nothing deepens us more as human beings than various experiences to reflect upon.
The location is fantastic, with a view over the streets of the old town, surrounded by museums, galleries, cafés, restaurants and the old harbour. If you are into the unusual and want to experience an artistic side of Reykjavík, then this is your place. This is one of Reykjavík's oldest wooden houses and is located so centrally that there may be some noises from the city's street life.
