Hrauneyjar offers basic accommodation in Iceland’s highlands. Mount Hekla volcano and the popular hiking trails of Landmannalaugar just over 30 km away. Sauna access is free. Wi-Fi access is available. Hrauneyjar Highland’s restaurant is a well-known stop off point for hikers exploring the local volcanic landscape. It offers traditional Icelandic dishes as well as fast food quick fixes. Guests can also have a drink at the bar or buy snacks in the shop. Good quality roads mean Hrauneyjar Center is accessible by car all year round, and a petrol pump is located on site. Staff can provide guests with daily road and weather reports.
