Casa Casteddina is a charming two-storey house immersed in the nature and beside a maritime pine forest that brings with it a great Sardinian traditional flavour. The house is equipped with all modern equipment and its tick walls makes it a natural cool place even in the hot Sardinian summer days. The tranquillity and seclusion makes it a great spot to have outside dining with full BBQ and even pizza oven for the most advanced dining aficionados. For joggers or yoga lovers, the local beach offers over 10 kilometres of beach to have a great start or finish a day, or otherwise the local beach bar offers a great spot for spritz and music to relax while watching great sunsets.
We're a lively and welcoming family of five. Babbo Antonio comes from Sardinia, while mamma Elena proudly carries Venetian heritage in her vein. Our three children—Anna Sinead, Sofia Niamh, and Alessandro Oisin—were all born in Ireland, the place we've called home for the past two decades. We are all in love to expand our knowledge with diverse cultures, new experiences and traditions that nourish and enhance our lives. We find joy in the company of dear friends, in the exciting adventures of travel, in immersing ourselves in diverse cultures, in hiking to discover what mother nature gives us, and in creating lasting memories together. From the moment we laid eyes on Casa Casteddina, we fell in love with its tranquillity and vicinity to a local beach, igniting a passion to share the magic it holds. For it is in sharing the warmth and wonder of this special space that we aim to spread the joy it has brought into our lives, inviting others to experience the same.
A five-minute walk through a winding path from the house and you can reach a small square with a beach bar and from there the local fine sandy beach with a tiny stream that meets the vast expanse of the sea, inviting you to immerse yourself in nature's embrace. Sorso is the closest town, just 6 km away. It is well known for its wine making with plenty of vineyards and wine cellars. During the summer the town hall organises plenty of events that are free to attend such as the famous "Calici sotto le stelle" fest which brings thousands of people for wine tasting experience an music across the whole town. At 15 min drive you can reach Castelsardo medieval fisherman village with its beautiful handmade crafts and plenty of bars along the costal walk.
