Censored in the Napoleonic Cadastre as a property of the Countess Giulia Piccoli Brazzà, the Stel Mill is located between two artificial waterways: the Roggia di Manzano river, of which information is already available in the year one thousand, and the Rio Manganizza. The mill appears to have been inhabited in 1811 by the family of the miller Biagio Stelo, Stel in Friuli, hence the current name of the mill. Composed of three distinct bodies built at different times to form a c enclosing a still original cobblestone courtyard, the mill included, in the body that follows the stream, the room of the millstone for the wheat and the pestles to decorticate the barley and the storage of flour and the stable. In the most recent part there was the farmer's house with an adjoining barn and stables for the animals. Since 2003 the Stel mill has belonged to the Dentesano family who, restoring it without distorting its typicality, managed to create a structure for convivial use with a guesthouse available to guests.

The Stel Mill is located in the south-west area of ​​Manzano (UD) at the confluence of the Torre stream and the Natisone river, an area that is only three kilometers from the town but has remained a rural vocation in an environment of other times. You can take walks along country roads between cultivated fields, small woods and on the banks of the two rivers that surround it, observing different types of birds and animals in the wild. Adjacent to the property there is a riding school. From here you can reach in a few minutes the hills of the Colli Orientali and the Collio, the areas of greatest winemaking in Friuli where you can visit wineries and eat in the many farms and places that offer typical products of our local cuisine. In fifteen minutes you reach Cividale, Unesco heritage city, and Udine capital of Friuli. In less than an hour Trieste is a fascinating Central European city, and the two tourist resorts of Grado and Lignano. Even the mountains are easily reachable in a short time, both Tolmezzo and Tarvisio and neighboring Austria. Slovenia is located just beyond the nearby hills
