I had low expectations, and Chisinau exceeded them. The city feels very small -- almost like a village -- but the more time I spent there, the more it grew on me. There are nice restaurants and cafes and lots of green spaces. Chisinau is not as vibrant as other European cities I've been to, but it has a certain quiet charm. A city full of contrasts.
A city full of contrasts. On one hand, it’s a clean and green place, with lots of beautiful parks where you can relax and enjoy nature. Trees line many streets, and the city feels open and fresh in many areas. But at the same time, pollution is a real issue, especially from traffic congestion. One thing that really stands out is how expensive many things are. Restaurants can be quite pricey, and food and clothing cost more than you might expect, especially considering the average local salary. It’s a bit shocking to see how many expensive cars are driving around, while most people earn very little. The difference between how some people live and how others struggle is easy to notice. Still, Chisinau has its charm. It’s a peaceful city with lots of green spaces, and it can be a pleasant place to spend time. But if you’re visiting, be prepared for the higher prices, and don’t be surprised by the sharp contrast between luxury and poverty.Guest review byOvidiuRomania - 10.0

Chisinau is changing, and the restaurants and cafes give it a relaxed cosmopolitan vibe. Don't be put off by the austere Soviet main avenue, there are lots of back streets with interesting architecture to explore and the museums are worth checking out too. Moldova is a beautiful country with incredibly reach culture and traditions. Chisinau is beautiful and I wish I had an extra day or two there to truly see abd do most of the things on my to do list. Defenitely use the guided tour by Free Tours Chisinau - they are super knowledgeable and also hip and dynamic unlike some guides who stick to rehearsed facts only. But I also highly recommend anyone travelling to Moldova to visit the wineries like Castle Mimi and Et Cetera, or book a stay in Casa Veche, as well as drive yourself to a few gorgeous monasteries in the caves or book a guided tour.Guest review byAnastasiiaIreland

The building makes a very pleasant impression from the inside as well as from the outside. Internet is fast and stable, rooms and bathrooms are fairly nicely designed, there is hot water 24/7, there is a great AC in the rooms as well as a fridge.
