Hi, I’m Gio and i always wanted to be an explorer. After spending the last 12 years working at sea as a Captain on sailing yachts around the world, I fell in love with Baja’s East Cape. So I am now investing everything I have to build my dream project ‘The Baja Station’, which is all about bringing together like minded travelers and ocean lovers in an eco-beach resort environment. When the whole house is booked out, I stay in a different section of the property in a tiny home on wheels. So i will be unseen and out of the way yet nearby and available if needed.

Wake up to breathtaking views of the world-class waves that are just steps away. Explore the vibrant village scene, with a variety of bars, restaurants, and the local village shop all within a stone's throw. This the most convenient base for an East Cape adventure!

Neighborhood info

Getting here from San Jose is a 30-40 min drive with the last 10 minutes being on a bumpy dirt road. There is no public transport and if you want to get around the East Cape and explore while you are here, you will need a car. A 4x4 vehicle is not necessary, although it will allow you to drive onto the beaches and closer to the breaks in some cases. Alternatively, if you do not have a car we can organise pick-up and drop-offs for you from San Jose and we can also provide you with surf guiding around the East Cape. The beauty of La Fortuna is that you do not need a car as we have several bars and restaurants in the village and three different breaks all within short walking distance.
