The sea with jetty along with mooring for your own or rented boat can be reached on foot. It is your closest neighbor a beautiful hiking terrain, where you can experience the typical southern Norwegian coastal landscape. In the center of Lyngdal (15 km) there are nice stores, cozy restaurants, a great swimming area and large beaches as well as the good salmon river Lygna (investigate the local fishing rules; fishing license mandatory). The lake area by the cottage also offers good fishing. In the area you can rent boats of different sizes; NB: order boat before arrival.
