I love the fact that Kabi and his family give you such an organic village experience of Nepal. They take you in like you are family and provide you a room in their own family home. The house was clean and had running water at all times. I was also very impressed by the WiFi for being so deep in the village. Amazing experience, it’s one of those places you can’t explain you just need to go for yourself to experience the magic and happiness the family bring. 2 nights ended up turning into a week stay with the family, i didn’t want to leave, Incredible experience! I feel part of the family instantly. Amista was amazing and felt like my big sister made me feel very welcomed plus a special shout out to Anuj the best 13 year old tour guide! Great communication and organisation from Kabi too. The organic food, cooking with Amma, bamboo cutting, village exploring and waterfall swimming all surrounded by the beautiful nature and mountains - i couldn’t recommend it enough :)! So much love and hard work goes into the home stay, it felt very authentic and the family were always happy to make sure i enjoyed my stay. Being with this family in Barang was the highlight of the trip to Nepal, even more so than the trekking. Staying with them offered valuable insights into real rural life for the Nepalese and the challenges they face. I was involved in some of the daily tasks such as milking the buffalo, harvesting rice and gathering grass for the animals: the family were extremely hospitable: I was shown around the village, taken for a swim in the river and asked to join in the dancing and the football (play stopped by bus parking on the pitch!). A wonderful 3 days.

Kabi and his family treated us so well that after just one day we felt like part of the family. We got to experience first hand how hard working they are by taking part in collecting food for buffalo, milking buffalo, plowing fields with ox, learning to cook Dal Bhat and many other things. We danced with them into the night, ate dinner together and woke up to stunning views from the balcony down into the valley. It was comfortable, clean and had everything you needed including a western toilet. Kabi’s mums cooking was delicious, his dads energy was contagious and every other member of his insanely large family was so welcoming and kind.

Kabi and his Family welcomed us with opened heart. We were able to witness the true struggles and colours of living in a Nepalese village. We have learned how to work with buffalo’s, cut grass and carry it from the jungle hills, how to prepare dhal bhat and many others. Moreover we have also socialised and partied with local people, shared laughs and smiles. All this happened in enchanting surroundings of dense jungle and spectacular views of Himalaya mountain tops. On the other hand, accomodation was one of the warmest during our stay in Nepal. Rooms were cosy, clean, bathroom had a European style toilet. Additionally every dish which we had during our stay, was a marvellous one. Full of flavours and love. We highly recommend visiting this home stay. It is a truly mesmerising place with people caring about their culture and traditions. You and your friends will not only enjoy a great rest but also learn a ton, and this makes this stay special.

Kabi was super nice, he and his family were very welcoming and they were willing to answer every question that came into my mind about nepal, the village, their life and everything else. They took good care of me and I really recommend ot to everyone.

What an incredible stay! I only spent 3 days at the homestay but wish I had more time to stay for longer. The homestay is located in a village on a hill and has fantastic views. The family is the kindest people ever and will take you in as they’ve known you forever, with lots of care and love. The homestay was also an educational experience - I feel like I really got to participate and get to know Nepalese local culture but also feel so lucky and grateful to having had an opportunity to participate so closely in family’s life. Definitely come even for a few days!
