Our stay was great. Julie was awesome and made us feel right at home. Our little cottage was super clean, and breakfast items were right in our room ready for the next morning. Highly recommend this cottage.

My family & I were lucky enough to buy our 1920’s bungalow in 2018, she was in original condition & we are in the process of doing her up. In our back garden we have a old art room that had fallen into disrepair this space was one of the first spaces we concentrated on doing up, we wanted to showcase & share how we feel about Wanganui and provide a home away from home for people on the road, a space you can relax, have a good shower get a good nights sleep and a healthy breakfast to start the day consisting of:- - 3 cereal options - yogurt - fresh seasonal fruit - fruit juice - and a range of hot drinks I am a big one for reusing the old, so we have used as many recycled building products & furniture as practically possible which gives the studio a new but homely feel; I hope if you stay with us you will agree. Note: We live on site in the main house so if you need any assistance we can be called on. Also note we are a family with pets, namely 2 cats & 2 dogs who will greet you on arrival, if you are not keen on animals this property may not be suitable for you.
I am a bit of a home bod these days, my passion is gardening & DIY, you will see on arrival that our house is a work in progress. It is a welcome relief when we have visitors and I get to hear about their ventures. I will help to get you settled & then leave you to relax, explore, work, what ever your need is.
We are situated in Wanganui East near beautiful Kowhai park. The city centre is a lovely 1.4km (20 minute) stroll away along the banks of the majestic Wanganui River We have loads of lovely cafes, pubs & restaurants to chose from Japanese, Thai, Indian, Mexican, European Definitely pack walking shoes when you come to Wanganui; walking is the best way to see everything we have to offer, the gardens, the river, the artworks, the shops, the artwork on the walls spread through the city centre
