Owaka was about 15 minutes away. Tips: If you are arriving late, buy your groceries in Owaka. The grocery store in Kaka Point is not open in the evening and it doesn't open until 12:00 noon the next day. Also, the restaurant in Kaka Point is closed on Sunday and Monday. It does not serve breakfast since it doesn't open till 12:00 noon. There are cafes and restaurants in Owaka that serve breakfast and are open Sunday and Monday.
