There are many historical places to visit such as the rune stone in Rök which is easily accessible by car. Per Brahe the Younger founded the town of Gränna on Lake Vättern and built among other things Brahehus, both within 20 minutes drive. Nice cottage with good standard situated higher with a view of the fish-rich lake Noen. The house is located in a quiet, natural environment with small paths that invite you to walk and bike. The nearest neighbor (permanent residence) is located across the way, the surrounding area is characterized by forests, meadows and pastureland. Lake Noen is a very nice bathing lake with designated bathing place about 1 km from the cottage near the home park. In the lake there is a rich occurrence of both pike, perch and white fish. A nice short trip by boat across the lake in about 1km distance is Brahälla where once Per Brahe the Younger built his hunting lodge. The ruins can also be reached by car and then on foot. In the herb store ?Krydderi Krokus? about 5 km in the direction of Gränna, you can have home cooking for lunch which is served in large portions.
