Order at least 24 hours in advance. GREEN BASKET - with fresh vegetable and fruit (jun-avg), basket with food for a weekend (bread, ghee, local dairy products, juice, marmalade, salsa, vinegar, flower, etc.). Basket with food shall be ordered 2 days before arrival. With ORGANIC SPELT FROM OUR CERTIFIED ORGANIC FARM in Bela Krajina, you may cook pirotto and bake bread pancakes biscuits, etc. Good recipes are available in the house library. We offer you more info about local knowledge: GARDEN SAFARI - visit 3 local farms - beekeeper, traditional farm, small house garden in the woods; EDIBLE WILD PLANTS - in the vegetable garden, the clearing around the chalet, and the forest all around; ORGANIC GARDENING - basics about how to grow organic.
We are NATAŠA and SAŠO - a couple of LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS who have found sanctuary in the valley of the Iški vintgar gorge, under the reign of Nature. We have lived in the forest for the last 23 YEARS, exploring the world whenever the opportunity arose. Since we have now managed to create a guesthouse, we invite you to explore our world. We are vegetarians and great cooks. Sašo prefers Ayurveda cuisine, whereas Nataša loves to bake bread and pastry using the spelt grown in her fields. We love all animals and 1 cat is a part of our family. The house gets regular visits from deer, and occasionally, even a fox, a marten or a chamois come to see us. The bear that lives in the woods is kind and only shows himself to our neighbours. The forest house with the garden is a part of a scattered ecological farm. We work on the fields, the meadow and the orchard, which are a heritage of Bela Krajina region, with pleasure and pride. Our SPACIOUS GARDEN gives additional meaning to the house. - Children and adults adore a swing under the beech tree. - Big grassy clearing in the middle of the forest provides silence and the space needed for meditation and seclusion. SHORT DAILY TRIPS, for example, - HIKING up to 1107 m high Krim directly from the chalet, - CANYONING through the Iški Vintgar gorge and crystal clear river Iška, - CLIMBING at the local natural stone wall in the gorge of Iški Vintgar, - ROWING at river Ižica to Ljubljanica and to Three Bridges in the city center Ljubljana, - CYCLING all ower the Ljubljana moors or uphill/downhill Krim, - SWIMMING in natural river pools at Iška river or in the deep lake Jezero, - HORSEBACK RIDING at Ig or Vrbljene.
