Ekkamai has its local charm. Along the street, you will see flower shops selling garlands for making merits in the Wat That Thong temple. The local school is nearby where young students line up in front of the national flag every morning. Young professionals go to work during the daytime and go home after office hours. At night, the neighbourhood becomes lively as Ekkamai Street turns into a strip of local late-night restaurants and vibrant bars. After midnight, the area is ready to sleep for the early morning market again.
