I did not expect it to be a beautiful, clean, safe place to walk around even at night. Despite the language barrier, people are nice and accommodating trying to help you with direction. I noticed that the drivers are very patient and seldom use their horn and gives priority to pedestrian. Parks and trees are everywhere. Food and stay is affordable.

We had wonderful time in Tajikistan. I would highly recommend Dushanbe as a cultural experience. Tajikistan is over 90% mountains and the views are wonderful. The general populace is extremely hospitable and kind. Go informed, however. This country is small, poor, and has a corruption problem. The border guards are known to let you in without filling out an immigration card and giving you grief for it when you leave, hoping for bribes. The water is not safe to drink, and I would not recommend buying food from street vendors. If you are traveling from America, do not be surprised at small inconveniences like showers being broken, food items not on the menu, or airplanes running a couple of hours late. But these are small inconveniences. Buy your water, do your homework ahead of time on immigrations, and allow extra hours in your travel times. Relax and enjoy the scenery! You won't be sorry!

It is located at the top floor of a residential building. The location is great, a few restaurants right outside the building, and walking distance to the main avenue where KFC is and all the bus stops are. Facility is very new & bathroom is spacious. I was picked up by the hotel at the airport, which was great for a solo female traveller arriving after midnight local time. However, I have to warn that it was difficult to get in touch with the hotel contact: the Dushanbe airport has no working wifi!!!

Fantastic hotel in a good location of Dushanbe, hotel is located close to restaurants and bars, hotel is very nicely decorated, room was very nice, comfortable bed, bathroom had a walk in style shower, good buffet breakfast served every day, staff were all friendly and helpful and helped us to travel to the nearby Hisor Fortress, free airport transfer on departure was a very nice touch and very much appreciated, would stay here again if I ever return to Dushanbe

Hospitality at this hotel is AMAZING!!! Stuff will make you feel very comfortable and welcomed!!!! One of best places I stayed at. Breakfast was so delish and best variety I've ever had. Lady who attends was the sweetest. I have no words to describe my short, but wonderful stay. Room was very big, newly remodeled and super clean. Way better than I expected!! I was in Atlas Hotel. It’s really great. - The hotel provides 24 hours coffee, tea and water. It helps a lot when the weather changes. - The staffs are so nice and always willing to help. They speak English fluently. - The room is clean. Worth for money. - The location is close to the airport. Very easy to get there. I booked the room late at night and it was very affordable, when I arrived to the front desk, I was welcomed by a very friendly staff member, his name is Salmon, he speaks multiple languages (Arabic, English, Russian and Tajik) and maybe more. The hotel was clean, comfortable and peaceful. I will definitely come back when I visit Dushanbe.

Friendly staff. Breakfast included was decent. Airport pickup was $10USD, but taxis here for the same distance are around 20 Somoni, less than $2USD. The money isn’t the issue, so helping other for the future if travelling on a budget. They helped us arranged a driver to take us to the Pamir Highway.

Great room. Very clean. Staff were very friendly. Great location. Colleagues stayed at the fancier hotels (e.g Hyatt and Hilton) ...but this was far better! I'd definitely stay there again! And I plan to ...as Dushanbe was a real surprise, with amazing architecture and delicious food.

My flight with Somon air was delayed, Shavkat, the receptionist waited for me to arrive at the airport to pick me up. I was supposed to arrive in Dushanbe at 2pm but I arrived at almost 4pm. I don’t know how long he waited at the airport but I’m grateful.

Probably the best place to start the trip in Tajikistan. It's not the best hostel in the world but I think it has everything you need and it gather around all the travelers so you can meet people and get help planning your trip.
